SPEECH THERAPST

Plan and implement delivery of services (in person and/or telehealth/video visits) to children and their families within a family’s daily activities and community life, in family’s homes and community setting.

These services include screening, assessment, coaching, intervention planning, implementation of interventions, IFSP process, annual reevaluation, IFSP reviews, and transition planning.

Participate in Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluations, (CME) including use of FIT approved evaluation tools, scoring of protocols and written evaluation report.

CME Reports to be completed 30 days or sooner from initial start date, best practice to complete before scheduled IFSP.

Utilize natural learning opportunities and incorporate the family’s/child’s daily routines, activities, and settings to promote the child’s development and promote the parent/caregiver’s ability to carry out these interventions.

Present a positive and professional image of ELADC and practice ethical and professional conduct with staff, families and community partners at all times.

Communicate verbally and in writing accurately, precisely and in a professional manner. Maintain correct methods for documentation to ensure that it is clear, concise, complete, and current and forms are completed correctly. Clear, concise, and complete means that sentences used should make sense and reports are well organized. In general, all documentation shall be objective. Information which is subjective shall be so designated.

Adhere to and comply with the rules and regulations, standards and key principles of the Family Infant Toddler Program (FIT).

Responsible for being knowledgeable and keeping up to date with any required and recommended trainings, agency policy and procedures, FIT Policy and regulations and current FIT Services Definitions and Standards.

Participate in training (online training, webinar, coursework, workshops, mentoring, work experience, etc.)

Contractor can provide in service and training to staff, parents, and community upon request by staff and upon approval by Early Childhood Program Coordinator.

Contractor will participate in monthly team meeting which will be used for agency updates, trainings and scheduled time for TTA consultation.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
